Break Something is looking for a Digital Advertising Director to lead the team that defines how we run paid media campaigns. You will manage advertising strategists while directly owning several high-stakes client engagements. Your role is pivotal for staying ahead of new platforms, techniques, tools, and AI innovations.
What You'll Do
- Manage advertising strategists through their day-to-day work and help them level up their skills.
- Provide strategic direction, creative guidance, and mentorship.
- Navigate new platforms, AI tools, reporting techniques, and targeting innovations.
- Act as project manager for several assigned high-stakes clients.
- Develop media strategies and create targeting plans.
- Work with creative teams to test concepts.
- Optimize campaigns based on performance data and report results.
- Interface with clients alongside partners.
- Ensure quality assurance on creative implementation, accurate tracking and reporting, budget management, and timely invoicing.
- Coordinate with the data team.
- Evaluate new opportunities and fix underperforming campaigns.
- Scale successful tactics and teach the team how to replicate them.
What We're Looking For
- High creativity and a proven ability to build performance-driven campaigns that engage audiences and hit KPIs.
- Deep platform expertise across Meta, Google Ads, and at least one DSP or other programmatic/managed service vendor.
- Strong comfort with marketing research and statistical analysis to inform strategy and optimize performance.
- Experience building, managing, and optimizing media budgets across channels.
- Demonstrated people-management experience, balancing hands-on execution with strategic leadership.
- Self-motivated, client-focused, and solution-oriented, with a bias toward action and ownership.
- Proactive problem solver who identifies issues early and pursues opportunities aggressively.
- Expert in persuasion advertising, performance advertising, or ideally both.
- Deep understanding of what drives campaign success and the ability to teach and mentor others to run effective campaigns.
