As a Diabetes Care Advisor, you’ll play a central role in guiding patients through the process of accessing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems. Working in a hybrid onsite-remote capacity from Louisville, KY, you’ll serve as a trusted contact for patients, healthcare providers, and insurance teams throughout the ordering and authorization journey.
What You’ll Do
- Support both new and returning patients with personalized attention, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience from initial contact through delivery
- Collaborate directly with physicians, diabetes educators, clinics, and manufacturers to advance patient care and streamline order fulfillment
- Initiate outreach to grow provider networks and strengthen relationships with key healthcare partners
- Manage insurance requirements including prior authorizations, pre-certifications, and Certificates of Medical Necessity, ensuring compliance with payer guidelines
- Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly progress using established guidelines for internal and manufacturer review
What We’re Looking For
A reliable, service-oriented professional with a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1–2 years of experience in customer service or a healthcare setting. Strong communication skills—especially by phone and email—are essential, as you’ll regularly interact with patients, insurers, and medical offices.
Preferred candidates will have prior exposure to medical terminology, insurance processes, or healthcare billing, including familiarity with deductibles and co-pay structures.
