As the Developer Relations Lead, you’ll act as the primary technical liaison between our research team and the wider machine learning, systems, and decentralized computing communities. Your role is to distill advanced concepts in distributed training and decentralized AI into clear, accessible narratives that resonate with researchers, engineers, and contributors.
What You’ll Do
- Produce high-impact content including blog posts, social threads, and technical deep dives that clarify research for diverse technical audiences
- Transform dense research papers into compelling stories that highlight key insights and architectural decisions
- Lead engagement on platforms like Discord, X (formerly Twitter), Hacker News, and Reddit, building trust within active ML and decentralized systems communities
- Represent the team at major conferences such as ICLR, ICML, and NeurIPS through talks, demos, and networking
- Create and manage video content—ranging from paper walkthroughs to contributor tutorials—and maintain a consistent presence on YouTube
- Develop documentation, onboarding guides, and troubleshooting resources for contributors running training jobs
- Collaborate with partners to co-develop messaging and coordinate public announcements
- Support internal teams with technical narratives for investors and press
- Monitor engagement metrics, run content experiments, and refine strategies based on performance
- Track trends in decentralized training, open-weight models, and frontier AI developments, feeding insights back to leadership
Who You Are
You can read a technical ML paper and quickly identify its core contribution. You understand concepts like model and pipeline parallelism, gradient compression, and distributed optimization—or are confident you can master them rapidly. You communicate clearly and precisely, whether writing for PhD researchers or builders in the crypto ecosystem.
You have at least five years of experience in developer relations, technical education, or research communication. You’ve built a visible track record—through blogs, talks, videos, or social content—that demonstrates your ability to make complex topics engaging. You’re active in ML and decentralized tech spaces and know how credibility is earned in technical communities.
You’re self-driven, capable of shaping strategy independently, and skilled at working closely with researchers to turn their work into impactful outreach. You use AI tools effectively to scale your output without sacrificing depth.
Preferred Background
- Published research in machine learning or systems
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Previous experience at an AI/ML organization
- Developer relations work focused on infrastructure or developer tools
