Nuvance Health Careers is looking for a Desktop Services Specialist to deliver on-site and remote technical support, performing diagnostics and resolving issues to ensure continuity of operations. You'll join a team of over 15,000 dedicated professionals committed to neighbors caring for neighbors in an inclusive, welcoming culture.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and resolve issues with hardware, operating systems, applications, and peripherals, both in-person and remotely.
- Configure new computers, perform hardware upgrades, and maintain an accurate endpoint device inventory.
- Troubleshoot client server connectivity and permissions.
- Provide recommendations for hardware improvement and repairs.
- Accurately document Service Desk ticket status and resolution.
- Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Maintain and model Nuvance Health Foundational Values: Personal, Imaginative, Agile, Connected.
- Provide 24/7 support through investigation and analysis of problems using documentation and debugging tools, taking remote call for off-shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A college diploma or university degree in computer science and/or 2 years equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of modifying computer objects within Active Directory.
- Hands-on experience with computer hardware support (diagnosing and replacing hard drives, RAM, monitors, etc.).
- Superior customer-facing skills with the ability to develop a 'trusted advisor' relationship with end users.
- A methodical approach to problem-solving and the flexibility to adjust to changing requirements.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment, manage time, set priorities, and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under stress and document technical support processes.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of Citrix based technologies.
- Understanding of Mobile Device Management.
- Industry certifications such as A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications.
