About the Role
This position is responsible for ensuring reliable and secure desktop computing services through proactive maintenance, responsive support, and adherence to technical standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across multiple platforms
- Support deployment of operating system updates and patches
- Manage user accounts and desktop permissions
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity problems for end users
- Maintain imaging standards for desktop environments
- Provide technical support for remote access tools
- Assist with migration projects involving desktop platforms
- Document technical procedures and system configurations
- Respond to service desk tickets in a timely manner
- Support virtual desktop infrastructure when required
- Configure and deploy peripheral devices
- Ensure compliance with security policies on endpoints
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with IT teams on service delivery
- Participate in after-hours maintenance as needed
- Maintain inventory of desktop hardware and software
- Support mobile device management systems
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding user equipment
- Troubleshoot printing and network drive access issues
- Implement encryption and endpoint protection tools
- Follow change management protocols for system updates
- Support application installations and compatibility fixes
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning for desktop systems
- Stay current with emerging desktop technologies
