APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is hiring a Design Technician for Oldcastle Infrastructure. You will create detailed technical drawings that guide the manufacturing of precast concrete structures, using proprietary in-house software to design accurate shop drawings.
What You'll Do
- Prepare submittal and production drawings for precast concrete components, including storm water catch basins, drop inlets, sanitary manholes, and specialty structures.
- Review and analyze construction documents, including specifications and addenda.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other drafters to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
- Check drawings for errors, inconsistencies, and adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
- Make necessary changes to drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, or the production team.
What We're Looking For
- General understanding of construction principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in basic Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to Have
- Technical or Associate degree in Construction or Design.
