Boeing Australia seeks a Design and Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join a Phantom Works Fixed Wing Proprietary Program. In this role, you are responsible for developing and integrating complex EO/IR Sensor Systems, RF Sensor Systems, Communications Systems, and Weapon Systems. Your work will define how integrated mission systems meet warfighter operational needs.
What You'll Do
- Perform system of systems capability design and integration.
- Integrate capabilities using multiple systems and subsystems.
- Define requirements and verification for capabilities.
- Work with customers to develop and document requirements for system design.
- Analyze and translate customer requirements into system, hardware and software designs.
- Define logical and software interfaces to ensure compatibility with the platform architecture and ensure proper interoperability with other subsystems.
- Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
- Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for hardware, software, and performance model development.
- Utilize MBSE for requirements development, interfaces definition, and traceability.
- Perform hardware and software development, integration, test, and validation/verification.
- Test and validate System functionality and performance to ensure designs meet operational and functional requirements.
- Conduct prototype hardware and software evaluation, lab integration, analysis, and test.
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers and present technical challenges and solutions to leadership.
- Engage in frequent interaction with program leadership, customers, and industry partners.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent.
- For Level 3: 5+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years with a Master’s OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship).
- Ability to obtain program access (requires U.S. Citizenship).
- U.S. Person status as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62.
Nice to Have
- Experience with MBSE modeling tools.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
