Company is hiring a DERMS Sr. DevOps Solution Specialist. In this role, you will implement GE GridOS DERMS solutions for utility clients. You will engage directly with clients to understand the impacts of distributed energy resources, design and deploy solutions using modern DevOps technologies, and collaborate closely with a technical delivery team.

What You'll Do

Engage with utility clients to understand the impacts of distributed energy resources (DERs) on the distribution system and provide solutions to manage and plan for DER emergence.
Work collaboratively with Technical Leads and Solution Specialists to provide input on solution architecture based on client needs and solution capabilities.
Deploy GE GridOS DERMS solutions to client environments to support project use cases and DER planning scenarios.
Document and design client-specific solution deployment requirements, capturing acceptance criteria and necessary features.
Deploy complex GridOS DERMS solutions to customers both in the cloud and on premise using the latest DevOps technologies, process, and Pipeline Automation.
Collaborate with the Solutions team to expand the solution consulting and delivery practice, build standards of excellence, and deliver innovative solution offerings.
Collaborate and contribute to identifying project delivery risks and recommending potential mitigation strategies.

What We're Looking For

Diploma, bachelor’s degree in computer science, or engineering OR relevant hands-on experience.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP Cloud Platforms and Technologies.
Strong hands-on experience with RHEL 8+ Linux OS and shell scripting.
Strong hands-on experience with Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD.
Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kernel-based VM.
Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB.
Strong hands-on experience with Redis, Memcached.
Strong hands-on experience with Nginx, HA Proxy, Apache.
Strong hands-on experience with Python, JSON, YAML, Bash, Git.
Infrastructure as Code scripting with Terraform, Ansible or cloud native (ARM, Cloud Formation).
Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipeline design and scheduling with code quality stages spanning continuous build & quality, deploy, and testing.
Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps (static, dynamic, artifactory, code scanning).
Build and deploy experience of Docker containers using Helm Charts and YAML configurations.
Deployment and management of securely hardened technology frameworks including Kafka, and Kubernetes.
Pipeline integration with DevOps Tools such as GIT, Docker, K8 containers, SonarQube, Nexus, Vault, test automation, Fortify, and Twistlock, Gitea, and Jenkins.
Hands on experience in solution deployment with PDI and ArgoCD technologies.
Knowledge of Agile/Lean principles such as SCRUM, Kanban, MVP.
Experience with Windows and Linux Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Infrastructure Automation Tools.
Self-starter with the ability to work in a cross functional team-based environment.
Excellent analytical skills and must be able to look at situations from different vantage points to make data-driven decisions and solve problems.
Strong understanding of web applications and other technologies.
Knowledge on relational and non-relational databases.
Ability to triage and debug any issues that arise during testing and production.
Ability to automate testing across CI/CD and cloud infrastructure management.
Knowledge of secure code development.
Strong understanding of the utilities industry vertical and Distributed Energy Resource Managed Solutions (DERMS).
Hands on Python enterprise application development.

Nice to Have

Seven plus (7+) years of enterprise application development experience in Java, Microsoft .Net, Python, or other enterprise SW.
Highly familiar with emerging energy industry trends and implications on utility clients in DER management.
