Cleveland Clinic Health System is looking for a Platform Engineer II to be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure platform systems with a focus on vulnerability management. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and optimal performance of our server, storage, and data center infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Design, engineer, and implement systems infrastructure.
- Install and maintain operating systems and related management and reporting software.
- Proactively manage and monitor the enterprise systems environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems in the systems environment.
- Maintain currency, stability, and security in the enterprise systems infrastructure.
- Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic and tactical technical project plans.
- Participate in proof-of-concept studies of new technologies to modernize enterprise infrastructure platforms.
- Develop working relationships with server, storage, cloud, and network software and hardware vendors, work groups, and installation teams.
- Create and maintain infrastructure platform configuration standards, SOPs, and guidelines.
- Assist in the production of management reports and presentations on capacity, performance, and system health.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of disaster recovery plans for critical enterprise data and operational systems.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and five years of experience in information systems design, configuration, and management OR nine years of experience.
- For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of the position start date.
- Ability to work well with others and be able to express ideas and concepts clearly.
Nice to Have
- Technical vendor hardware/software certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Red Hat, Cisco, NetApp, Dell/EMC).
- Experience implementing and managing solutions in various cloud vendors.
- 7 years of enterprise-level experience in a technical position responsible for implementing, configuring, and managing enterprise server, storage, or infrastructure environments.
- 2 years of enterprise-level experience in information systems design, including leading design implementations.
Team & Environment
You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including application owners, project managers, and Senior Platform Engineers.
Work Mode
This position is open to candidates in Ohio, Florida, and Nevada.
