We've got exactly what you're looking for. Our Parsons Seattle office is now hiring a Civil Engineer for Civil Roadway design! This role will provide critical support for a National Mega-Project while also backing local WSDOT and regional transportation initiatives. You can work virtually across the US West or in a hybrid setup based in Seattle. Bonus: plenty of growth opportunities to advance into a senior roadway engineering role. What You'll Be Doing: • Under senior engineer guidance, execute roadway engineering and design assignments using complex engineering techniques and design criteria • Utilize drafting and 3D modeling software to develop conceptual and detailed designs • Perform design calculations including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates • Assist in producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications • Support both regional and large-scale road and highway projects across the USA • Provide input to CAD Designers/Drafters • Perform geometric design alignments for road and highway projects • Develop ramp, highway, and interchange designs under mentorship • Create layouts for retaining walls and temporary roadways • Leverage Microstation for design work What Required Skills You'll Bring: • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) • 3+ years experience with road and highway design • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate • Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is a plus, but not mandatory What Desired Skills You'll Bring: • Proficiency in Microstation Open Roads Designer • Experience with Bentley design suite • Ability to communicate effectively in large, diverse engineering teams • Strong aptitude for advanced design engineering skills • Excellent verbal communication • Comfortable in collaborative team environments Security Clearance Requirement: None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
