About the Role

We are seeking a Dermatology Senior Health and Science Specialist to join our team in Woodbridge, MD. In this role, you will launch new products, manage key business relationships, and engage in strategic product promotion within your assigned accounts, working directly with healthcare professionals to positively impact patient health.

What You'll Do

  • Effectively identify and implement the most efficient virtual or in-person engagement strategies to maximize impact.
  • Develop and adapt business and territory call plans based on self-identified opportunities and insights.
  • Build rapport and relationships with customers across both virtual and face-to-face environments.
  • Utilize digital tools like Veeva Engage, Zoom, and Microsoft Office and adapt quickly to new technologies for customer engagement.
  • Leverage analytics to develop insights and create actionable plans.
  • Compliantly deliver targeted messaging using approved materials to drive product demand.
  • Educate providers on product value propositions using your disease state and product knowledge.
  • Work effectively with HCPs and their office staff to plan various customer engagements.
  • Strategically deploy approved Pfizer resources, such as samples and co-pay resources, to support provider and patient needs.
  • Support patient access by providing HCPs with information on reimbursement, Patient Assistance Programs, and hub programs.
  • Present terms of sale with approved language and proactively answer on-label questions.
  • Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional colleagues including Field Medical and Key Account Management.
  • Use triaging protocols and digital apps to connect customers with appropriate subject matter experts.
  • Effectively use calendaring tools and leadership goals to prioritize and address customer needs.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s Degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/promotional/sales experience, including a promoted or developmental role with demonstrated leadership.
  • Alternatively, an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • A history of marketing, promotional, or sales success, strong territory management, outstanding communication skills, and demonstrated teamwork and accountability.
  • Must live within 50 miles of the territory.
  • A valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards. Any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you.

Nice to Have

  • 3-5 years of specialty marketing, promotional, or sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets (prescribers, HCPs, institutions).
  • Strategic account marketing, promotional, sales, and management skills.
  • Superior technical and relationship-building skills.
  • A demonstrated track record of assessing account needs and bringing relevant resources to drive performance.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving, strategic thinking, data analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • The ability to quickly learn and embrace new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment.
  • The ability to work in a matrix environment and leverage multiple resources to meet customer needs.
  • A track record of strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and effective resource utilization.
  • Experience working with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and adapt to new technology.
  • Change agility and the ability to adapt quickly to workplace changes.
  • Exceptional time management, planning, and organizing skills.

Team & Environment

You will collaborate effectively with other Customer-Facing colleagues and Pfizer Connect team members. This role operates in a matrix environment, working closely with cross-functional colleagues, including Field Medical, Reimbursement, and Key Account Management.
