Workday seeks a Senior Functional Consultant to ensure the successful implementation of our Financials product suite. You will configure solutions, guide clients through adoption, and become a specialist in our financial applications. What You'll Do
- Become a specialist in the Workday Financials product suite.
- Understand client business requirements, configure the Workday solution, demonstrate configurations, and assist with testing.
- Help clients convert legacy data into Workday.
- Assist the integration team with configuring and testing third-party integrations.
- Apply Workday’s Implementation Methodology on all engagements.
- Mentor new consultants.
- Ensure clients adopt Workday standard methodologies and become referenceable.
- Share product knowledge with colleagues.
- Provide Engagement Managers with regular status reports.
- Develop and deliver detailed IT solutions through the full project lifecycle.
- Perform technical problem-solving, system architecture definition, implementation, testing, training, and deployment.
- Perform project management activities including leadership interaction and cost/schedule monitoring.
- May handle financial responsibilities including cost estimation, proposals, and invoicing.
- May participate in sales presentations and identify new opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of functional experience in Financial, Revenue, Spend, or Performance Management software.
- 5+ years implementing applications such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Ultimate Software, ADP, or Ceridian.
- Validated expertise in at least one of: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Procurement, Asset Management, Projects, Expense Management, Financial Reporting, or Budgeting.
- 5+ years of Consulting experience.
- Ability to work on government client engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company.
- Passion for customer service and validated project management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
- Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Nice to Have
- Experience deploying multiple projects simultaneously.
- CPA designation and/or MBA degree.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
