Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Deputy Program Manager to provide program support for our federal IT engagements. In this role, you will assist program leadership with staffing coordination, operational reporting, and client-facing resource management. You'll gain hands-on experience in federal program management and operations within a dynamic small business environment.
What You'll Do
- Support the Program Manager with day-to-day program coordination and operational activities.
- Assist with tracking staffing requirements, program deliverables, and contract needs.
- Participate in internal and client meetings and provide follow-up on action items.
- Help prepare reports, summaries, and status updates related to program staffing, recruiting, and operations.
- Assist with sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for technical and IT positions.
- Participate in candidate interviews and provide hiring recommendations to program leadership.
- Coordinate with recruiting and HR teams to support hiring and onboarding activities.
- Track open positions, candidate pipelines, and hiring status across supported programs.
- Serve as a client-facing point of contact for staffing and resource management activities.
- Communicate staffing updates, hiring timelines, and personnel changes with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support program leadership in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring staffing needs are met.
- Monitor staffing levels and assist with resource planning across the program.
- Support roll-on and roll-off planning for contract personnel.
- Help maintain accurate staffing records and workforce reporting.
- Assist with administrative and coordination tasks related to program execution.
- Provide additional operational support where needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of professional experience in program support, recruiting coordination, project coordination, or operations.
- Experience assisting with interviewing or recruiting for technical or IT positions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work Eastern Time (ET) hours.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting federal government contracts.
- Exposure to program management or project management activities.
- Experience working in a small business government contracting environment.
- Familiarity with staffing coordination, workforce planning, or contract staffing models.
- Experience supporting IT programs or technical teams.
