About the Role
This position involves maintaining data systems, troubleshooting operational issues, and supporting data pipelines to ensure accuracy and reliability across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Monitor data systems for performance and stability
- Respond to alerts and resolve data pipeline failures
- Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and fix issues
- Maintain documentation for data workflows and processes
- Support on-call rotations for critical system incidents
- Investigate root causes of data discrepancies
- Implement automation to reduce manual intervention
- Ensure data integrity across storage and processing layers
- Work with internal teams to understand data requirements
- Assist in scaling infrastructure to meet growing data demands
- Perform regular system health checks and maintenance
- Troubleshoot ETL processes and data integration workflows
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior engineers
- Contribute to post-mortem analyses after outages
- Optimize query performance and resource utilization
- Support deployment of data platform updates
- Track and report on system uptime and reliability
- Enforce data security and access controls
- Participate in incident response procedures
- Assist with onboarding new team members
- Provide feedback on system design improvements
- Work within agile development cycles
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during system changes
- Ensure compliance with internal data governance policies
- Respond to internal stakeholder inquiries about data systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow tools
- Background in large-scale data operations
