As the Data Science Manager for the Supply Marketplace, you will lead a team focused on building the analytical and algorithmic frameworks that ensure a healthy, responsive participant ecosystem. Your work will directly influence how supply scales alongside demand, balancing growth with quality, fairness, and long-term engagement.
What You'll Do
You will define the strategic direction for Supply Data Science, translating complex marketplace challenges into actionable insights and production-ready systems. This includes developing models for participant matching, allocation, and ranking, while ensuring systems support rapid growth without compromising data quality or user experience.
You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to identify key leverage points across the participant lifecycle—from onboarding and activation to retention and engagement. Your leadership will ensure data integrity, marketplace efficiency, and equitable representation across all decision systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and set data science strategy in product or marketplace environments
- Deep expertise in statistical modeling, forecasting, causal inference, and experimentation
- Proven experience guiding algorithmic systems in production, particularly in matching, optimization, or allocation
- Strong judgment in balancing technical rigor with business impact
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to cross-functional partners and influence roadmap decisions
- Experience building and scaling data science teams over time
