The Customer Service Engineer will represent PerkinElmer as a technical field expert, delivering high-quality service and support for analytical instrumentation across the Nordic countries. This role ensures customer satisfaction through maintenance, repair, installation, and training, while acting as an ambassador for the company and supporting financial and service performance goals.
What You'll Do
- Performs field service and routine maintenance using available systems in coordination with the Regional Group Leader
- Carries out repairs, maintenance, installation, and validation of instrumentation and accessories
- Provides onsite user training on defined product groups
- Performs service on behalf of PerkinElmer overseas offices to European standards and at overseas customer sites when requested
- Ensures all documentation, circuit diagrams, Service Data Bulletins, and manuals are of the correct revision for specific instrument types
- Maintains ancillary documentation such as Safety Manual and Procedures Manual to the highest standard
- Regularly reviews manuals in accordance with the Quality Management System
- Aligns personal working practices with the department’s performance targets
- Actively demonstrates compliance with all team targets
- Maintains personal service spares issued and inventory records to the highest standard
- Quickly and effectively reports and resolves all anomalies
- Ensures all tools and test equipment are adequate for required service
- Ensures all test equipment issued is calibrated at specified times
- Makes weekly returns of completed service documentation, Service Reports, Time Sheets, Expenses Claims, Motor Vehicle Log Sheets, etc.
- Performs specific and agreed tasks as defined through Goal statements embedded in the Company Culture
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Science, or another suitable or compatible discipline
- Minimum 3 years experience in a related Field Service role, or similar field
- Full clean driving license

- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers and colleagues on all levels, providing service information, technical data, and general help as necessary
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Negotiating and influencing skills
- Understanding of excellent Customer Service
- Must have professional level English
