The ideal candidate will combine strong bookkeeping skills with excellent customer service abilities to support clients and ensure financial accuracy in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and account status
- Process incoming payments and apply them to correct accounts
- Reconcile discrepancies in customer accounts
- Maintain up-to-date financial records
- Generate and send invoices according to billing schedules
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on overdue balances
- Assist customers with account-related questions
- Update account information based on client communication
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues
- Ensure data accuracy in accounting software
- Prepare monthly account statements
- Handle customer requests via email and phone
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Identify and report recurring billing problems
- Support month-end closing processes
- Log customer interactions in the CRM system
- Verify invoice details before distribution
- Assist with audit preparation as needed
- Communicate proactively about payment delays
- Apply credits and adjustments accurately
Nice to Have
- Associate degree in accounting or finance
- Experience in a remote work environment
- QuickBooks certification
- Experience with automated billing systems
- Background in service-based industries
