Indigo Books & Music is hiring a Customer Operations Leader

Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor customer experience representatives in delivering outstanding service and promoting products, offers, and programs effectively.
  • Drive initiatives that align with strategic goals, sales targets, and profit objectives.
  • Champion the customer perspective by centering their needs in all operational decisions.
  • Anticipate and respond to evolving customer expectations and requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate operations to identify improvement opportunities, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions.
  • Oversee omni-channel sales initiatives and ensure in-store technology is used efficiently to enhance customer convenience and shopping flexibility.
  • Support the rollout and adoption of new digital tools through preparation, instruction, coaching, and performance input.
  • Promote and adopt innovative technologies that enhance both high-tech and personalized customer interactions.
  • Assist in delivering engaging customer experiences through events, marketing efforts, and community outreach, including author visits, children's programs, and charitable campaigns.
  • Manage inventory procedures and returns to maintain seamless and profitable cross-channel service.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing duties and sales floor supervision.
  • Participate in health and safety governance and uphold safe conditions for staff and shoppers.
  • Contribute to team strength by supporting recruitment, onboarding, and skill development across roles.
  • Aid in talent growth by sharing performance insights with leadership.
  • Work across functions to develop adaptive, real-time solutions.
  • Exchange technical expertise and actively learn from more experienced colleagues.
  • Help team members understand how their work contributes to broader goals and solicit input from other departments.
  • Foster open communication by encouraging diverse viewpoints and receptiveness to feedback.
  • Demonstrate core company values and maintain a professional, positive presence.
