Indigo Books & Music is hiring a Customer Experience Representative

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily store operations, including opening or closing shifts that may begin as early as 5 AM or as late as 10 PM
  • Perform regular inventory checks, restock shelves, handle returns, organize products, and process incoming shipments
  • Apply visual merchandising guidelines to design an attractive and inviting store layout
  • Foster a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for all guests
  • Enhance customer interactions by bringing moments of delight into their shopping experience
  • Use product knowledge to share meaningful stories about items in the store
  • Interact directly with customers on the sales floor to understand needs and offer support
  • Select and recommend tailored product groupings based on individual customer preferences
  • Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the organization’s performance expectations
  • Stay informed about new arrivals, special offers, and company initiatives
  • Support a culture where health and safety are prioritized and everyone contributes to a secure environment
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to customer input and concerns
  • Promote accountability among team members and uphold performance standards
  • Take initiative in personal growth and offer constructive feedback to peers and leaders
  • Suggest improvements to leadership that enhance both employee and customer experiences
