Series Entertainment is looking for a Chief Technology Officer to lead and scale the technical organization behind our next generation of AI-powered entertainment experiences. You will be a strategic partner to the CEO, responsible for setting technical direction and ensuring teams operate at the forefront of modern development.

What You'll Do

Define and evolve the company’s technical vision in alignment with an AI-first product strategy.
Establish scalable architecture and engineering practices for rapid experimentation and long-term growth.
Act as a technical thought partner to the CEO and executive team.
Bring an informed perspective on the future of creator tools, UGC ecosystems, and AI-assisted content development.
Lead, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary engineering organization through strong technical leadership layers.
Coach engineering managers and tech leads in running effective, high-performing teams.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Help elevate technical excellence across the company.
Partner closely with Product, Design, and Operations leadership to align technical execution with product goals.
Translate product vision into realistic technical roadmaps and delivery plans.
Ensure strong communication and shared ownership across departments.
Drive adoption of modern AI tools and workflows across engineering and adjacent disciplines.
Help teams stay current with rapidly evolving AI capabilities and apply them pragmatically.
Guide experimentation while maintaining product quality and operational stability.
Act as a thought leader internally on how AI reshapes development velocity and creative possibility.
Improve engineering processes, planning, and delivery predictability.
Balance speed, quality, and technical sustainability in a startup environment.
Support hiring strategy and help attract world-class technical talent.

What We're Looking For

10+ years of experience in software engineering, including senior leadership roles.
Proven experience leading engineering teams through growth and organizational scaling.
Strong track record as a people manager and organizational builder.
Experience operating as a strategic technology leader within startup or high-growth environments.
Clear point of view on how AI will transform software and content creation workflows.
Experience introducing modern tooling, processes, or platform shifts that materially improved team effectiveness.
Strong communication skills and ability to align technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfort working in a fast-moving, startup-style environment with evolving priorities.

Nice to Have

Experience in games, interactive entertainment, or creator platforms.
Experience building or scaling UGC or platform ecosystems.
Experience building AI-enabled consumer products.
Prior CTO or VP Engineering experience at a startup or scaling company.
Experience leading distributed or global engineering teams.
Public technical thought leadership (talks, writing, open-source contributions, etc.).

Team & Environment

You will report directly to the CEO, who is currently serving as Interim CTO.

Benefits & Compensation

Compensation range: $170K - $210K.
