Medtronic is hiring a CRM Field Inventory Analyst in Birmingham, AL. In this field-based role, you will execute US Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) field inventory strategies to meet service, scrap, and freight goals. You will serve as a vital liaison between field employees, customers, and our internal teams, supporting our mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.
What You'll Do
- Engage daily with internal and external partners to coordinate inventory strategies.
- Support inventory repositioning for emergent cases, short date management, and cycle count completion.
- Partner with field-based District Service Managers, Clinical Specialists, Sales Reps, and District Managers to ensure product availability.
- Coordinate and execute Phase-In and Phase-Out activities for product launches.
- Mobilize inventory for supply constraints within your assigned district.
- Collaborate with internal Customer Care Supply Chain Analysts and Field Inventory Program Managers to accelerate shared objectives.
- Proactively monitor and maintain inventory levels at customer accounts.
- Conduct cycle counts of inventory at customer accounts as needed.
- Ensure expired and short-dated units are identified, segregated, returned, and swapped out.
- Educate customers on inventory management requirements.
- Assist the sales field with obtaining signed Consignment Agreements and Inventory Schedules.
- Provide regular on-call support for evenings and weekends when critical business needs arise.
- Stay current on internal training requirements and product knowledge.
- Understand and adhere to FDA Regulations, quality and training requirements, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

- High aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience with inventory management within supply chain or distribution environment.
- Self-motivated; can work with minimal supervision remotely.
- Ability to travel overnight on short notice as needed.
- Interest and desire to grow into a clinical field-based role.
- Six Sigma Yellow, Green or Black Belt Certification.
- APICS CPIM/CSCP Certification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience working in a regulated environment—ideally the medical device industry.
