Medtronic is hiring a CRM Field Inventory Analyst - Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities

  • Engage daily with internal and external business partners to align inventory strategies.
  • Support inventory repositioning for urgent cases, order fulfillment, date management, and inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with field-based managers and specialists to ensure timely product delivery and enhance customer experience.
  • Coordinate product launch activities, including inventory placement and removal, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Manage inventory to address supply constraints within the assigned district.
  • Work with Customer Care Supply Chain Analysts and Field Inventory Program Managers to achieve shared business goals.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers, seeking mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Analyze data, identify issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive appropriate actions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and develop business cases and alternatives.
  • Communicate and execute inventory management initiatives with sales teams.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels at customer accounts.
  • Conduct cycle counts and resolve inventory accuracy issues at customer accounts.
  • Manage expired and short-dated units, ensuring they are returned and replaced.
  • Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies at customer accounts.
  • Educate customers on inventory management requirements and processes.
  • Maintain effective relationships with Customer Care Supply Chain and Customer Service operations.
  • Assist the sales field with obtaining necessary agreements and inventory schedules.
  • Provide on-call support for evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Adhere to FDA regulations, quality standards, and training requirements, and continually seek quality improvements.
  • Stay current with internal training requirements and product knowledge.
  • Propose and implement process improvements.
  • Meet deadlines and communicate effectively when timelines are not achievable.
  • Work a flexible schedule as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years of experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record, subject to regular review for compliance

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Experience with inventory management in a supply chain or distribution environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision

  • APICS CPIM/CSCP Certification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to produce consistent, detail-oriented, high-quality work

  • Knowledge of supply chain-related regulatory requirements and ability to assess and resolve gaps
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally the medical device industry
