About the Role
This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting critical infrastructure systems within a facility during the third shift. The engineer ensures operational continuity by performing routine maintenance, responding to alarms, and executing repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor facility systems for abnormal conditions and respond promptly to alerts
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on critical equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues affecting facility operations
- Document maintenance activities and system performance in logs
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance procedures
- Assist with equipment startups and shutdowns as needed
- Inspect HVAC, power, and backup systems for optimal function
- Respond to emergency situations with urgency and precision
- Maintain accurate records of repair and service history
- Collaborate with other shifts to ensure continuity of operations
- Conduct routine testing of emergency power systems
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards
- Support facility modifications and equipment installations
- Operate building management systems to monitor conditions
- Identify potential system failures and recommend corrective actions
- Perform preventive maintenance on critical infrastructure
- Verify proper function of fire protection systems
- Assist in energy efficiency initiatives
- Handle work orders and prioritize tasks based on urgency
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Compensation

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Frequent bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Work in varying temperatures including cold and hot environments
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data center infrastructure
- Knowledge of NFPA and OSHA standards
- Certification in facility operations or related field
- Familiarity with computer room HVAC systems
- Background in industrial maintenance or facilities engineering
