OppFi is hiring a Credit Reporting Analyst

About the Role

OppFi is seeking a Credit Reporting Analyst to join our expanding Compliance department. In this role, you'll be responsible for responding to direct and indirect credit reporting disputes, determining their root causes, collaborating with business units and credit bureaus, and ensuring adherence to federal regulations. You'll be part of a team dedicated to making an impact by facilitating credit access and promoting financial health.

What You'll Do

  • Resolve indirect disputes through the e-OSCAR system.
  • Resolve direct credit reporting disputes received from customers via phone, email, or letter.
  • Determine root cause of disputes by collaborating with business unit owners across teams.
  • Work with representatives from major credit bureaus to verify reported information.
  • Work with other departments such as Complaints and Operations to resolve customer concerns or update credit reporting information.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1-2 years experience reviewing sensitive information like customer documents and banking information.
  • Ability to navigate and review accounts, notate findings, and track information.
  • Salesforce experience.
  • Knowledge of OppLoans’ internal systems and processes.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn federal regulations including FCRA, UDAAP, ECOA, TILA, Fair Lending, SCRA.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in GSuite and Microsoft Office.
  • Adaptable to rapid change.
  • Ability to identify areas of opportunity and improvement.
  • Confident in decision making and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to multitask as well as assess and change priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge of the e-OSCAR system.
  • Experience with the Metro 2 format.

  • Compensation range: $46,792 - $77,208 USD + eligibility and potential for equity grants dependent upon the role and job level.
