About the Role

The individual in this role will be responsible for managing credit reporting processes, validating data integrity, and supporting compliance initiatives related to consumer credit information.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor credit reporting systems for data consistency and reliability
  • Verify accuracy of consumer credit information before submission
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in credit reporting datasets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely data submissions
  • Maintain compliance with federal and industry credit reporting standards
  • Investigate and respond to credit reporting disputes
  • Generate reports on credit data quality and reporting performance
  • Support audits related to credit reporting practices
  • Track key performance metrics for reporting accuracy
  • Work with external agencies to validate reporting outputs
  • Document procedures for credit data handling and reporting
  • Implement process improvements to reduce reporting errors
  • Stay current with regulatory changes affecting credit reporting
  • Assist in onboarding new credit data partners
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in reporting workflows
  • Escalate critical data issues to management promptly
  • Ensure consumer privacy standards are upheld in all reporting
  • Coordinate with compliance teams on regulatory updates
  • Maintain version control for reporting templates and tools
  • Provide data insights to support risk assessment decisions

Nice to Have

  • Certification in credit or financial compliance
  • Experience with automated reporting platforms
  • Knowledge of machine learning applications in credit risk
  • Prior work with fintech or digital lending companies
  • Advanced SQL or Python for data analysis
  • Exposure to regulatory exams or compliance reviews
  • Understanding of data privacy laws like FCRA and GLBA
  • Experience in audit preparation for credit reporting
