About the Role
The Credit & Receivables Coordinator is responsible for managing customer credit accounts, processing invoices, monitoring payment schedules, and resolving billing discrepancies to maintain healthy cash flow and customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and update customer credit files and limits
- Process sales invoices and ensure data accuracy
- Track customer payments and follow up on overdue accounts
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers regularly
- Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries
- Resolve discrepancies between statements and payments received
- Generate aging reports and provide summaries to management
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain compliance with internal financial controls
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams on account issues
- Verify customer documentation for credit approvals
- Input and update data in financial systems
- Support audits by providing receivables documentation
- Identify and escalate high-risk accounts promptly
- Ensure adherence to credit policies and procedures
- Assist in improving receivables processes and reporting
- Monitor bank deposits related to customer payments
- Prepare and send customer statements
- Track and apply customer payments correctly
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data
- Respond to internal requests for account information
- Work with collections when accounts require escalation
- Assist in setting up new customer accounts
- Ensure timely resolution of credit holds
- Support financial reporting with accurate receivables data
