The CRA Analyst plays a key role in upholding compliance with federal and state regulations under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). This remote position supports multiple departments—including lending, compliance, legal, and retail—by integrating CRA objectives into daily operations and strategic planning. The analyst ensures all community development activities meet regulatory standards and are accurately documented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply independent judgment to assess and document qualifying CRA activities, including donations, volunteer services, financial literacy programs, and FHLB initiatives
  • Review and verify data accuracy for CRA-related submissions using Kadince, internal reporting tools, and FHLB program data
  • Produce detailed reports for management and the CRA Committee to inform decision-making and measure community impact
  • Lead monthly CRA Liaison meetings, including preparing minutes, tracking outcomes, and delivering training
  • Identify opportunities across business lines to expand qualifying CRA activities
  • Conduct data integrity reviews for community development efforts such as HELP, SNAP, AHP, PGP, and disaster relief programs
  • Support compliance with evolving CRA regulations and assist in implementing updated requirements
  • Deliver targeted training sessions to bank staff on CRA-eligible donations and services
  • Prepare gap analyses comparing current activities to local community needs
  • Maintain the bank’s CRA Public File with complete and timely records
  • Complete mandatory BSA/AML and compliance training as assigned

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business, or Law is preferred. Candidates should have at least five years of experience in bank compliance, with prior exposure to regulatory audits and examinations. Familiarity with compliance certifications from recognized industry programs is a plus. Proficiency with Kadince and internal reporting systems is essential for success in this role.
