Lead and advise financial services organizations on regulatory compliance through strategic risk assessment, testing, and system improvement. In this role, you will work directly with clients to identify compliance gaps, evaluate regulatory exposure, and support the development of robust compliance management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert consultation on regulatory risk, including assessment, remediation planning, ongoing monitoring, and change management
- Conduct compliance testing for federal consumer protection regulations and document findings clearly and accurately
- Advise client teams and leadership on compliance frameworks, offering practical solutions tailored to their operational environment
- Prepare and present compliance insights to boards, management, and business units using clear, actionable language
- Lead client engagements, manage project teams, and ensure timely delivery of compliance initiatives
- Support compliance education and internal reporting processes across client organizations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of five years in regulatory compliance within banking or financial institutions
- Proven experience designing, executing, and documenting compliance audits
- Strong understanding of lending regulations and practices
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and executive audiences
- Highly organized with strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 20%, primarily within Minnesota and Wisconsin
Work Environment
This position operates in a flexible hybrid model, allowing for remote, in-office, or blended work arrangements. The role is centered in the Twin Cities area, with periodic travel to client sites. A workstyle supporting autonomy and professional growth is emphasized.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $88,000–$118,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and firm performance.
