What You'll Do
Lead a small team of rehabilitation counselors supporting high school students with disabilities as they prepare for employment. Provide direct supervision, ensuring effective implementation of rehabilitation plans, job placement strategies, and ongoing case management.
Oversee administrative aspects of casework, including approvals and quality assurance, to maintain compliance and service integrity. Collaborate with local school systems to strengthen transition programs and improve long-term outcomes for students.
Guide staff development through training, mentorship, and technical support. Participate in budget planning and performance evaluation initiatives to enhance team effectiveness. Represent the agency through outreach activities and community engagement efforts.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling or counseling from an accredited institution, plus two years of experience as a rehabilitation counselor
- OR current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) credential from the CRCC with two years of relevant experience
- OR a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
- Successful completion of agency requirements for independent counselor status
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to build relationships with individuals with disabilities and their support networks
- Familiarity with vocational rehabilitation policies and procedures
- Experience mentoring less experienced counselors
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
