About the Role

HealthHero is looking for a Counsellor to join our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Clinical Team. In this role, you will provide vital telephone and video counselling services, starting with a clinical assessment to triage client needs and determine the appropriate support pathway.

What You'll Do

  • Carry out Initial Clinical Assessments and Triage of client needs, leading to appropriate clinical pathways.
  • Deliver a range of support including Booked Assessment Appointments, In The Moment Support, or Booked Single Sessions via telephone and/or video calls.
  • Carry out Risk Assessments and follow the Safeguarding and Risk Protocol process.
  • Manage a caseload of clients requiring Structured Counselling.
  • Write brief, accurate, and concise clinical notes for all client interactions.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist (Level 4 and above in Counselling) with BACP, COSCA, or similar registered status.
  • Good IT skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A strong clinical background with excellent Assessment skills.
  • The ability to make sound clinical decisions whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 22.5 hours per week, with at least one mandatory day shift based in our Glasgow or Bracknell office.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills as a keen team-player.
  • The ability to keep client and service needs in focus while working under pressure in a busy environment.

Nice to Have

  • Previous EAP or Telephone Counselling experience.
  • Experience with time-limited assessment, ideally in a corporate environment.

Team & Environment

You will be integrated into our Support Line Team as part of an experienced Clinical Team that is passionate, supportive, diverse, and dynamic.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation: £26,000 to £30,000 per annum based on full-time hours (37.5). Part-time salary is pro-rata.

Work Mode
