About the Role
This position is responsible for leading litigation matters, identifying potential legal exposures, and providing strategic counsel to minimize organizational risk. The candidate will work cross-functionally to ensure adherence to laws and regulations while supporting business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all stages of litigation and dispute resolution processes
- Conduct legal risk assessments across business operations
- Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance and legal exposure
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with attention to risk mitigation
- Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations affecting the business
- Support internal investigations and regulatory inquiries
- Develop and maintain legal policies and procedures
- Collaborate with external counsel on complex legal matters
- Provide guidance on intellectual property disputes
- Assist in managing insurance claims and coverage issues
- Evaluate potential liabilities in commercial transactions
- Support corporate governance initiatives
- Prepare reports and briefings for executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity regulations
- Participate in crisis management planning
- Contribute to enterprise risk management frameworks
- Manage third-party legal service providers
- Identify trends in litigation and recommend preventive strategies
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures from a litigation risk perspective
- Maintain litigation databases and case tracking systems
