HONOR is hiring a Counsel, Litigation & Risk Management

About the Role

This position is responsible for leading litigation matters, identifying potential legal exposures, and providing strategic counsel to minimize organizational risk. The candidate will work cross-functionally to ensure adherence to laws and regulations while supporting business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all stages of litigation and dispute resolution processes
  • Conduct legal risk assessments across business operations
  • Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance and legal exposure
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with attention to risk mitigation
  • Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations affecting the business
  • Support internal investigations and regulatory inquiries
  • Develop and maintain legal policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with external counsel on complex legal matters
  • Provide guidance on intellectual property disputes
  • Assist in managing insurance claims and coverage issues
  • Evaluate potential liabilities in commercial transactions
  • Support corporate governance initiatives
  • Prepare reports and briefings for executive leadership
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity regulations
  • Participate in crisis management planning
  • Contribute to enterprise risk management frameworks
  • Manage third-party legal service providers
  • Identify trends in litigation and recommend preventive strategies
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures from a litigation risk perspective
  • Maintain litigation databases and case tracking systems
