Ball Corporation is hiring a Cost Analyst

Ball Corporation is seeking a Cost Analyst to join our team in São José dos Campos/SP. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for generating cost control and evaluation reports, creating spreadsheets to track raw material consumption, calculating costs for new materials, and supporting the accounting close process, all within a global manufacturing context.

What You'll Do

• Generate control and evaluation reports for production costs, expenses, and inventory using SAP and Excel.
• Formulate spreadsheets to track raw material consumption with SAP data for analyzing consumption coefficients.
• Perform cost calculations for newly registered materials used in manufacturing cans and lids using the SAP system.
• Participate in guiding plant cost teams across Brazil, aligning accounting norms and practices.
• Prepare and send the monthly cost of sales report via Excel to the ESSBASE system for the Accounting department.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing required accounting documents and analyses.
• Prepare the fixed cost closing up to the re-evaluated production order alongside the area senior.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences (Ciências Contábeis).
• Knowledge in SAP.
• Intermediate Office Suite skills (VLOOKUP and SUMIF functions).
• Experience with costs and accounting routines.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of actual and standard cost accounting.
• Knowledge of Cost Closing (Material Ledger).
• Knowledge of Slow Moving and Obsolete Provision.
• Knowledge of converting financial statements to foreign currency.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Foundational knowledge of Financial Mathematics.
• Basic to intermediate English (oral and written).
• Knowledge of the Corporate Management System – SAP – MM, FI, and CO modules.
• Knowledge of Ball and local accounting norms related to inventory and costs.
• Knowledge of IFRS – rules applicable to inventory and production costs.
• Knowledge of Law 11638 – New Brazilian Accounting Standards (applicable to inventory, costs, and operational expenses).
