Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements including commercial transactions, service agreements, data processing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other commercial matters with domestic and international parties including clients, partners, and vendors.
- Assist in managing and maintaining the company’s standard contract templates and playbooks to streamline the contracting process, reduce friction with customers, and mitigate risk for the company.
- Ensure adherence to security and privacy regulations, securities regulations, corporate governance requirements, and other relevant legal and statutory requirements.
- Proactively address the evolving regulatory and governance compliance environment, including changes in laws, regulations, regulatory focus areas, and industry best practices.
- Provide oversight and leadership for all legal needs of the business, advising across various business functions.

- 5+ years of experience (in-house or law firm), 3+ years of relevant SaaS commercial experience.
- Proven success working effectively across business units and internal functions to efficiently resolve complex business and risk management issues while considering many non-legal variables, such as culture, brand, communications, government relations, tax, revenue recognition, insurance, finance, and other functional areas.
- Experience negotiating B2B SaaS, specifically in software security and compliance.
- Experience working in a start-up atmosphere is highly desirable.
- Prior experience building out and leading in-house legal teams that are committed to strategic differentiation and high-quality execution.
- Proficient with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, etc.), DocuSign, Slack.
- Working knowledge of a scalable contract database solution, and general working knowledge of finance invoicing systems, and project management software.
- High technical proficiency and critical thinking skills to ensure thoughtful challenging of internal systems design.

The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below, subject to change. Tier 1: $180,000- $222,600 Tier 2: $162,000 - $200,550 Tier 3: $145,000 - $178,500
