About the Role
The Corporate Controller will lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective internal controls while supporting organizational growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Direct all accounting operations including general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Oversee tax preparation and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
- Manage internal controls and lead audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic financial planning
- Supervise accounting staff and support professional development
- Implement and improve financial systems and processes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead the evaluation of new accounting software and technology solutions
- Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting
- Streamline financial reporting for executive and board-level review
- Support merger and acquisition due diligence and integration activities
- Monitor cash flow and work with treasury functions
- Ensure proper handling of payroll, benefits, and related accounting
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation tracking
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings
- Provide financial insights to support operational decisions
- Lead special projects related to financial transformation
- Ensure data integrity across financial systems
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
- Support compliance with SOX requirements
- Evaluate financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
