Athletetoathlete is looking for a Freelance Copywriter to join our Marketing team. You will report to the Head of Marketing and collaborate across brand, performance marketing, social media, lifecycle, and product initiatives to drive engagement and conversion.
What You'll Do
- Create compelling, effective copy for marketing projects that aligns emotional resonance with relevant business goals
- Produce a broad range of copy deliverables, including landing page content, emails, paid ads, in-app messaging, social copy, and video scripts
- Establish messaging frameworks, positioning maps, and copy templates that support marketing campaigns, product messaging, and sales enablement
- Collaborate with the Art Director and graphic designers to bring concepts to life
- Collaborate with sales to align email and SMS copy with a cohesive, compelling brand voice
- Interpret creative briefs to understand project requirements as the basis for your work
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of copywriting experience
- Knowledge of marketing principles and how to improve engagement and conversion via copywriting
- Proven ability to write concise, compelling, and conversion-driven copy
- Deep understanding of platform best practices for Meta, Google, TikTok, and other digital channels
- Comfort working with performance data as both a guide and inspiration for creative
- Exceptional attention to detail and editorial accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Copywriting experience within subscription, entertainment, or sports environments
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices
- Portfolio examples demonstrating performance-informed copy
Team & Environment
You will report to the Head of Marketing and collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Sales, and Product teams.
