Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end accounting functions, covering general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, revenue recognition, and tax compliance
- Produce and verify monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports following US GAAP standards
- Direct audit preparation and coordinate annually with a Big 4 accounting firm
- Ensure revenue recognition practices comply with ASC 606, particularly for B2C and B2B subscription-based revenue models
- Supervise general ledger reconciliations and uphold internal controls to safeguard financial accuracy
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including accurate and timely tax submissions
- Establish and monitor internal control frameworks to meet audit standards
- Streamline accounting processes and documentation to support organizational growth
- Collaborate with FP&A on budget development, forecasting, and financial performance analysis
- Manage external relationships with auditors, tax consultants, and other third-party advisors
- Lead a mix of internal and outsourced accounting staff, including integration of accounting operations from a recent acquisition
- Spearhead the ongoing implementation of an enterprise resource planning system in partnership with Rillet
- Champion continuous process enhancements to improve financial accuracy, efficiency, and transparency

Reports to the Head of Finance and works closely with cross-functional teams across the organization

- Hybrid role requiring on-site presence three days per week, specifically Tuesday through Thursday, in the TriBeCa office
