AdventHealth is hiring a Consumer Access Specialist for a PRN (as-needed) position on the main day shift. In this role, you will be a key point of contact, ensuring a smooth registration process while managing financial and compliance aspects of patient care. You will join a team dedicated to extending the healing ministry of Christ and serving the whole person in body, mind, and spirit.
What You'll Do
- Register patients for all services, ensuring accuracy and minimizing duplicate medical records.
- Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as required.
- Create accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collect payments or establish payment plans.
- Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility and benefits, obtaining pre-authorizations within set timeframes.
- Coordinate with utilization management staff on pre-authorization issues and provide patients with necessary logistical information.
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree, High School Graduation, or Equivalent.
Nice to Have
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR).
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $15.96 - $25.53 per hour.
