About the Role
The consultant will support the design and implementation of knowledge management and communication activities, enhance organizational learning, and help translate research outputs into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a knowledge management strategy aligned with program goals
- Identify effective methods for capturing, organizing, and sharing project learnings
- Support the creation of learning events and reflection sessions for project teams
- Facilitate documentation of best practices, case studies, and lessons learned
- Strengthen internal communication flows across teams and regions
- Produce clear summaries and briefs from technical research findings
- Design tools and resources to improve team learning and information access
- Collaborate with communications staff to adapt messages for different stakeholders
- Monitor trends in knowledge sharing and adult learning methodologies
- Evaluate the impact of knowledge management initiatives on project outcomes
- Ensure gender and inclusivity considerations are integrated into communication materials
- Support capacity building in knowledge management for project staff
- Maintain an organized digital repository for project documents and outputs
- Promote a culture of continuous learning within project teams
- Coordinate with partners to align knowledge strategies across organizations
Compensation

Part of a global research team working on aquatic food systems and sustainable development
Project Context
This position supports a CGIAR-funded research program focused on transforming aquatic food systems to improve nutrition, equity, and environmental sustainability in Africa and Asia.
Expected Duration
Initial contract for six months with possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.
