About the Role
Construction Manager to oversee all on-site construction activities for a major greenfield gold mining project, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery during the construction and execution phase through Q3 2028.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring safe and efficient execution of works.
- Review engineering designs and provide constructability input to ensure practicality, efficiency, and field execution alignment.
- Direct and coordinate multiple contractors to ensure adherence to project schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Monitor construction progress and proactively manage risks, constraints, and field execution challenges.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, including MSHA requirements and site-specific safety protocols.
- Liaise closely with Project Management teams to provide regular updates, reporting, and progress insights.
- Review, validate, and approve contractor invoices based on verified field progress and contractual agreements.
- Interface with regulators and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance and supporting project approvals where required.
- Support and participate in community and stakeholder engagement meetings as a project representative.
- Foster a strong safety-first culture across all construction activities and contractor teams.
Requirements
- Highly experienced construction leader with a strong background in large-capital mining or heavy industrial projects.
- Experience in remote and regulated environments.
- Proven ability to manage on-site construction activities for large-scale projects.
- Experience managing multiple contractors simultaneously.
- Familiarity with safety regulations including MSHA requirements.
- Ability to provide constructability input on engineering designs.
Nice to Have
- Experience in greenfield mining projects.
- Background in projects extending through multi-year durations.

On-site — Remote greenfield mining construction environment
Additional Information
- Fly-in/Fly-out or rotational site-based role
- Schedule: 3 weeks on / 1 week off
- 12-hour shifts on site
- Project duration: Immediate start through Q3 2028
