altafiber is hiring a Connected Solutions Consultant to be our brand’s personal representative to customers. You will provide excellent service and master needs assessment and consultative selling to promote connected home solutions in a retail setting and through outbound calling.
What You'll Do
- Provide high-quality service to all customers and potential customers entering or calling the store.
- Conduct outbound dialing to acquire customers and upsell using connected home products and services.
- Initiate and obtain sales through lead lists while meeting productivity metrics.
- Multitask effectively between account management, responding to customers, offering solutions, discussing product options, and generating service orders through multiple systems.
- Assess customer needs and recommend optimal communication, smart home solutions, and applications from our product line within their budget and availability constraints.
- Offer helpful, professional, and courteous assistance on altafiber services beyond the store's direct scope.
- Thoroughly understand the features and benefits of all services, products, bundles, and new offerings.
- Master knowledge of connected home devices and solutions we offer.
- Understand our promotional offers and the systems supporting our products and services.
- Become an expert in the store POS system, including sales order entry, returns, exchanges, cash management reports, inventory management, in-store technology, accessory setup, and reporting.
- Demonstrate outstanding understanding and application of all store operating procedures.
- Exhibit superior team skills that support other members in serving customers and operating a highly professional store.
- Attain defined sales, service, and customer feedback goals.
- Provide consistent documented sales and customer follow-up.
- Successfully apply all training provided.
What We're Looking For

Nice to Have
- Two years of College/Technical School resulting in an Associate's Degree or equivalent.
- Relevant education and training courses.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant telecommunications, retail sales, and customer service experience.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position. Your work will be split between a retail store location and altafiber’s Corporate office in Downtown Cincinnati.
