Responsibilities
- Prepare non-sterile compounded medications, both hazardous and non-hazardous, following USP <795>, <800>, and internal standard operating procedures
- Follow strict safety protocols including proper gowning, use of personal protective equipment, and safe handling practices for hazardous drugs
- Precisely weigh, blend, label, and package compounded prescriptions within established timeframes
- Keep the compounding area clean, orderly, and compliant by following approved cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Accurately and completely document all compounding steps and batch records
- Support inventory control through proper stock rotation, restocking, and periodic cycle counts
- Promptly report any procedural deviations, equipment malfunctions, or safety issues to supervisory staff
- Help receive, store, and verify the integrity of raw materials and supplies per regulatory requirements
- Engage in ongoing training and education to maintain current knowledge of compounding practices and policies
- Work with pharmacists and team members to identify and resolve production or fulfillment challenges
