Responsibilities
- Prepare compounded medications following strict formulation guidelines
- Verify prescription accuracy and dosage requirements
- Maintain detailed records of compounding activities
- Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Follow sterile and non-sterile compounding protocols
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to fulfill patient orders
- Review formulations for safety and compatibility
- Operate compounding equipment safely and efficiently
- Participate in quality assurance checks
- Manage inventory of chemical ingredients and supplies
- Dispose of hazardous materials according to safety standards
- Respond to inquiries from healthcare providers
- Support compliance with pharmacy board standards
- Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of workspaces
- Participate in staff training on compounding practices
- Monitor expiration dates of raw materials
- Document deviations or errors in compounding processes
- Ensure proper labeling of all compounded products
- Maintain current knowledge of compounding techniques
- Assist in auditing and inspection preparations
Nice to Have
