About the Role
The consultant will evaluate client compliance postures, implement control frameworks, and support audit readiness across various regulatory environments using risk-based approaches.
Responsibilities
- Assess organizational compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain governance, risk, and compliance documentation
- Support clients during internal and external audits
- Identify gaps in control frameworks and recommend corrective actions
- Implement risk assessment methodologies across business units
- Guide teams in adhering to industry standards such as ISO, NIST, or SOC 2
- Facilitate compliance training sessions for client personnel
- Monitor changes in regulatory landscapes affecting client operations
- Prepare compliance reports for executive review
- Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate technical controls
- Conduct control testing and validation procedures
- Maintain compliance calendars and tracking systems
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures
- Evaluate third-party vendor compliance postures
- Support incident response activities related to compliance failures
- Document control environments using standardized templates
- Participate in client-facing meetings and status updates
- Track remediation efforts for identified compliance deficiencies
- Utilize GRC platforms for workflow and reporting
- Ensure data privacy requirements are integrated into compliance plans
- Provide input on compliance implications of new business initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information
- Stay current with evolving compliance trends and regulations
- Coordinate with legal teams on regulatory interpretations
- Support certification efforts for compliance frameworks
