Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is seeking a Compliance Analyst, Advisory to support and strengthen compliance functions in a fast-paced, innovative financial technology environment. In this role, you will focus on consumer protection risk mitigation, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement of business processes across deposits, payments, and lending products, providing data-driven insights and helping implement robust compliance controls.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure new and existing offerings comply with consumer protection regulations.
- Conduct research and analysis of regulatory changes, assessing potential impacts on products and business processes.
- Support development, maintenance, and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
- Assist in monitoring and testing adherence to compliance policies, identifying improvement opportunities, and escalating risks as needed.
- Prepare reports, track findings, and contribute to compliance risk assessments to ensure accurate documentation and communication.
- Design and deliver compliance training materials tailored to various stakeholder groups under the guidance of senior team members.
- Provide clear, well-documented guidance to internal stakeholders, synthesizing complex regulatory information into actionable formats.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, providing analytical and administrative support to achieve compliance objectives and maintain project timelines.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field within professional services, fintech, or financial services.
- Basic understanding of financial services laws, regulations, and payment systems, with a willingness to learn and apply guidance.
- Familiarity with compliance processes, regulatory risks, and control frameworks, with a developing ability to assess control effectiveness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and document complex information clearly.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and committed to producing accurate work.
- Creative thinker with problem-solving skills, a growth mindset, and a customer-focused approach to compliance challenges.
- Foundational project management and analytical skills with proactive critical thinking.
- Professional, trustworthy, and able to exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Excel/Sheets (basic functions, formatting, data organization; willingness to learn advanced features like VLOOKUP and pivot tables) and PowerPoint/Slides.
