About the Role
The position powers the company's Competitive Product Intelligence program by maintaining reliable, high-quality outputs such as feature comparisons, monitoring summaries, and in-depth competitor analyses. It sits at the intersection of research, automation engineering, and knowledge management, requiring a proactive builder who thrives on improving AI-augmented workflows and shaping product strategy.
Responsibilities
- Configure and oversee AI-powered monitoring systems, including setting up alerts, managing changelog tracking, running review aggregation processes, and filtering daily signals to highlight key developments
- Conduct 2–3 detailed competitor release analyses per month using AI-assisted methods and standardized templates to ensure speed and consistency
- Regularly update and maintain the feature comparison matrix with accurate status ratings, confidence levels, and verified sources
- Deliver weekly competitor summaries to leadership, equipping product, product marketing, and design leads with actionable insights for rapid strategic planning
- Develop, document, and refine research workflows powered by large language models, including prompt engineering, pipeline management, and quality assessment
- Assist senior analysts in deep-dive projects by performing structured user testing, gathering evidence, and drafting analytical content
- Oversee the competitive intelligence knowledge base, ensuring proper taxonomy, tagging, accessibility, and search functionality
Requirements
- 6–8 years of professional experience in product research, user experience research, competitive intelligence, or a closely related discipline
- Proven experience using AI and large language model tools to build automated research systems, not just for reactive tasks but for proactive workflow design
- Familiarity with competitive or market intelligence platforms such as Crayon, Klue, G2, or SimilarWeb
- A meticulous and structured approach to analysis, producing reliable and reusable work products
- Comfort working with knowledge management systems and a strong sense of information architecture principles
- Ability to align research outputs across R&D and marketing functions to maximize impact and consistency
- Strong writing skills, demonstrated through concise, engaging competitor summaries that busy product managers will read and use
