Position Overview
This is a 9-month contract role focused on delivering data-driven compensation insights to support fair and competitive pay practices. Reporting to the compensation team, the analyst will partner with HR and talent acquisition to advise on salary decisions during hiring, promotions, and organizational planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compensation guidance to HR and recruiting teams by analyzing job roles, market data, and internal equity factors.
- Engage in compensation benchmarking surveys and interpret results to shape pay structures and market positioning.
- Apply advanced data analysis techniques to evaluate salary trends, job classifications, and workforce patterns.
- Support Workday compensation modules by collaborating with HRIS, testing system changes, and identifying process improvements.
- Perform regular audits of HR systems to ensure accuracy and consistency in job, pay, and employee records.
- Maintain and enhance compensation databases, tools, and reporting systems to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Excel and HRIS platforms, with experience in Workday preferred.
- Familiarity with compensation survey providers such as Radford, Mercer, or Willis Towers Watson.
- Understanding of U.S. labor regulations including FLSA and EEOC guidelines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
Work Environment
This role offers hybrid flexibility with remote options available across multiple U.S. states, including California, Arizona, Texas, and Oregon. The position is structured as a fixed-term contract with no relocation required.
Compensation & Incentives
The base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $130,000 USD, adjusted based on location, experience, and qualifications. Additional incentive opportunities are available, tied to individual and organizational performance metrics.
