Staff Accountant Full-time Department: Accounting & Finance Company Description Our organization is a leading platform in the powersports aftermarket-products industry, dedicated to advancing enthusiast experiences globally. Our brands deliver premium products, expert guidance, engaging media, and passionate customer support through exceptional e-commerce and retail experiences. *This is a hybrid remote position that will require 2-3 days per week in office.* The Accounting & Finance Department consists of highly motivated professionals who are encouraged to bring skills and initiatives to the table. We drive efficiency and change by improving internal systems and processes through collaboration and development. We operate in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment. This role will be part of the Accounting team and will report directly to the Accounting Manager. The Staff Accountant is responsible for creating accurate and timely financial records. You must be able to work independently and understand basic to moderate accounting concepts. Clear communication, documentation skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are crucial. Our Next Staff Accountant Will: - Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure accuracy of assigned GL accounts - Maintain the general ledger and related financial analysis and reports - Assist with financial statements - Apply financial concepts to planning and business analysis - Ensure adequate controls to achieve desired results - Think creatively to solve complex accounting challenges - Assist in special projects - Support various aspects of annual audit activities Qualifications Our Next Staff Accountant Has: - 3+ years experience in accounting - Strong knowledge of GAAP, reconciliation principles, and accounting guidance interpretation - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong Excel skills, including complex formulas - Positive attitude focused on process improvement - Self-starter ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Capacity to build strong working relationships across the organization - Associates or Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with Accounting focus Preferred: - CPA or CPA Candidate - Experience with JD Edwards and RetailPro (advantageous) - Experience in retail, ecommerce, technology, or consumer products industries Additional Information All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
