Role Overview
As a Community Outreach Representative, you will play a key role in expanding community awareness of health plan offerings in the San Antonio area. Working remotely with frequent local travel, you'll engage directly with seniors, community leaders, and healthcare providers to educate them about available services and support lead development through trusted relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently meet weekly and monthly lead targets through targeted outreach
- Organize and lead community events such as health fairs, educational seminars, and member orientations
- Build and maintain relationships with influencers in senior centers, churches, food banks, and community organizations
- Deliver presentations and informational sessions to prospective members and referral partners
- Coordinate with marketing and compliance teams to develop and distribute approved materials
- Conduct outreach to physician offices to share plan details and encourage referrals
- Maintain accurate records of activities, events, and outcomes through weekly and monthly reporting
- Support sales goals by identifying opportunities and driving participation in advertised meetings
- Travel frequently within the local market, with occasional travel outside the area as needed
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least two years of experience in grassroots marketing or community engagement, along with demonstrated customer service skills. A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree or additional experience may substitute for education requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. You must possess strong communication abilities, organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation are required, as is the ability to travel locally up to 80% of the time.
A state insurance license is required or must be obtained within six months of hire. Candidates must be fully vaccinated.
Preferred Background
- Five or more years in healthcare
- Experience in healthcare marketing or outreach
- Familiarity with Medicare or Medi-Cal Managed Care programs
- An MBA or related advanced degree
Work Environment
This is a field-based, remote role based in San Antonio, Texas. Remote work is permitted with approval, but regular in-person community engagement is expected. The position may require extended hours during peak outreach periods.

Compensation and Benefits
