Trane Technologies is hiring a Communications Officer to join our team. In this role, you will develop and execute internal communication strategies that strengthen employee engagement and foster a positive, connected workplace culture. You will transform complex information into digestible, impactful content that keeps employees informed and aligned with our mission and values.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies that support the organization's goals.
- Create, edit, and distribute internal communications, including newsletters, emails, and intranet updates.
- Support executive communication efforts by drafting speeches, presentations, and messages for senior leadership.
- Serve as content administrator of the company intranet, including content creation and publishing.
- Plan and execute initiatives that promote a positive work culture, including employee recognition programs and town hall meetings.
- Conduct interviews with colleagues, clients, and leadership for internal and external news stories.
- Oversee key event logistics for high-level internal meetings, including presentation and streaming systems.
- Assist with communication efforts during business continuity events, including writing internal crisis communication messages.
- Establish and manage feedback channels to gather employee input and measure communication effectiveness.
- Work closely with HR, marketing, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging.
- Provide training and support to managers and employees on effective communication practices.
- Monitor and analyze the impact of internal communication initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to management.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Around 5 years of experience in internal corporate communications, public relations, journalism, or related fields.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with intranet platforms and content management systems.
- Knowledge of employee engagement strategies and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
