The Colorado Rockies Baseball Club is looking for a Communications Intern to join our Communications & Marketing department. This seasonal internship focuses on supporting the team with a variety of content creation, game day, and promotional activities.
What You'll Do
- Write stories and assist with copywriting, editing, and proofreading for team websites and email communications
- Monitor minor league affiliates and update content on the team’s prospect pipeline page
- Produce scripts for in-game segments and ballpark announcements
- Help create and edit content for the team’s yearbook magazine
- Support the Communications team with game day needs and off-site promotional events
- Work with the Director of Public Relations & Photography on homestand and event planning
- Benchmark other MLB teams’ initiatives, websites, and publications
- Distribute promotional items departmentally and to local media partners
- Assist the Marketing team with script writing, editing, and additional tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or current student pursuing a degree in communications or a related field
- Familiar with AP style guidelines
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
- Copywriting experience
- Strong knowledge of the Cincinnati Reds and Major League Baseball
- Excellent time management and strong attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Copywriting experience with a school publication, website, or an established media organization
- Previous internship experience
- Proficient in AP style
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and photo editing/clipping experience

Team & Environment
You will be part of the Communications & Marketing department. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Communications.
