National Grid is looking for a Commercial Strategy Implementation Lead to define, drive, and deliver an integrated commercial strategy across our Strategic Infrastructure business unit. This role is pivotal for enabling delivery and business growth by managing a portfolio of projects and sharing lessons learned across the wider organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead implementation across commercial excellence projects, including strategic roll-outs, monitoring impact, and exacting change by integrating lessons learned.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic commercial management initiatives.
- Capitalize on commercial improvement opportunities based on insights from a broad range of sources.
- Prepare and present recommendations to senior stakeholders on commercial strategy and successfully cascade them throughout the Strategic Infrastructure business unit.
- Swiftly select and focus on the most relevant information to solve problems and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Encourage and work with others to strive for continuous improvement in outcomes.
- Vary communication style to build consensus and influence a range of stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating at a senior level in a commercial environment (e.g., infrastructure projects, construction, or a larger company matrix environment such as manufacturing or FMCG).
- Strong change management and project management skills.
- A passion for improvement.
- Experience in business transformation or change management.
Nice to Have
- Experience of capital works program lifecycle delivery either in industry or within an infrastructure-based consulting firm environment.
Team & Environment
You will join a commercial function of around 110 professionals, as part of the Strategic Infrastructure Commercial Excellence framework. You will report to the Head of Commercial Excellence.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: £64,000 – £76,000
- Bonus of up to 30% of salary for stretch performance.
