FourLeaf Federal Credit Union is hiring a Commercial Portfolio Analyst II to join our Commercial Lending Department. You will manage commercial loans after origination to ensure compliance with credit policy and regulatory guidelines while maintaining the credit quality of our portfolio. This role focuses on a portfolio of loans with moderate exposures and higher levels of credit risk, making you an integral part of our commitment to the financial well-being of our members.
What You'll Do
- Manage a portfolio of 25–35 Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans by ensuring timely review, decisioning, and renewal.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files.
- Generate Annual Review letters to request annual reporting requirements.
- Proactively work with Borrowers and Relationship Managers to obtain information, monitor compliance, and update your pipeline.
- Review tax returns and/or financial statements to prepare detailed annual review memos on covenant compliance.
- Analyze repayment sources, cash flow, historical trends, leases, guarantors, industry/asset risks, and relationship exposure.
- Identify key risks and mitigants and document conclusions and recommendations.
- For potential problem loans, identify root causes and determine appropriate monitoring.
- Ensure loans are reported properly in FourLeaf’s commercial lending and core systems.
- Proactively work with Borrowers, Commercial Lending Operations, Relationship Management, Servicing and Workout teams, vendors, legal counsel, and loan participants.
- Address off-cycle loan requests, including lease analysis, escrow holdback releases, change in ownership, and release/replacement of guarantors.
- Set proper expectations with all parties and obtain appropriate approval as outlined in policy.
- Demonstrate strong competency in FourLeaf’s Commercial Loan Portfolio Management system.
- Demonstrate growing proficiency in FourLeaf’s core system, DNA, and consistently extract Borrower, Guarantor, and Loan data accurately.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in Commercial Lending, including familiarity with business and personal tax returns and/or financial statements.
- Completion of internal or external fundamental CRE lending program.
- Proficient understanding of: CRE spreading (business tax returns and financial statements, personal tax returns and financial statements, and Global Cash flow analysis).
- Proficient understanding of: CRE collateral analysis including rent roll analysis, lease analysis, and fundamental valuation methods.
- Proficient understanding of: CRE loan structures and legal documentation.
- Proficient in credit analysis and writing.
- Experienced in loan portfolio management.
- Good verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.
- Desire to work in an agile environment for a fast-growing financial institution.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field.
